World War 1 Information report: Jacob

World War 1

As strange as it may seem when the war began countries made agreements to support each other in the conflict and made alliances. Did you know Germany used chlorine gas on the 22nd April 1915. War means legalised violence, the only time you can kill a person without facing the consequences.

Not many people know that on the 28th June, 1914, A Serbian student shot the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, a very important person, who was going to be the next king and wife, so Austria got angry and declared war. There were two sides called the Central powers and the Allied forces but some people call them the Allied powers. The Allied forces were France, Great Britain, Commonwealth countries, Russia, Italy, Japan and USA and the Central powers were Germany, Austria and Turkey.

Germany had to give back the land, submarines, 5000 cannons, 25,000 machine guns, 5000 trains and 150,000 train carriages. The Allied forces overpowered the Central powers, first they overpowered the small countries then Turkey then Germany. They used cannons, machine guns, Submarines, gasses and many more.

Germany had to give back the land they took and the armory. The allied forces overpowered the central powers. First the allied forces took over the small countries then Turkey then Germany. November 11th, 1918, Germany noticed they had no more support so they signed the armistice.

After the war ended a peace meeting was held in Paris, France. All of the countries leaders signed a treaty called the treaty of Versailles and Germany had to pay war damages. The German leaders lost most of their power.

Have you ever wondered how many people died in the war? At the end 21 million men were wounded and 8.5 million men died.

Photoshop work: Jacob

This is what I did on photoshop. We were learning how to create different layers using photoshop. Everyone made one of these and they might be on their blogs so check it out. I did this because we are learning about digital design. First I clicked on the magic wand tool and deleted the background of the two photos. Next I drop a picture of a skate on a new document. I Dragged and dropped both photos in a good position on the skate park.
